The
Upper Arlington High School lacrosse team has
run its win streak to 7 following wins over Hilliard
Davidson, Cincinnati Indian Hill and Toledo St.
John's last week.
"I
was pleased with the pace we set early on in our
last two games," said UA Head Coach Ted Wolford.
"We played hard and took care of things early
in both games."
This
week will provide some interesting motivation
for the Bears on several fronts as they host Hillard
Darby and St. Xavier before taking a trip to Wooster
on Saturday night.
Wolford
on Darby: "A win on Wednesday would ensure
us winning the first Ohio Capital Conference title."
Wolford on St. Xavier: "We don't know a lot
about them. We certainly know they were very strong
two years ago when they beat us. We need to be
well prepared."
Wolford
on Wooster: "That's our final game in the
Midwest and will help determine whether we play
in the 'A" bracket of the tournament."
With
the Midwest and Ohio state playoff chases approaching,
the battle-tested Wolford wants more out of his
team. "We still need more consistency with
our play. We need to step forward from what I
thought was a disappointing turnout against Jerome
and begin to play closer to our potential."
