Upper
Arlington's Marv Moorehead Stadium provided the
backdrop for the second annual Max Elite 100 camp
June 9-11, featuring the top 100 prep lacrosse
players from the Midwest.
10
UA juniors and five sophomores participated in
the three-day camp which drew over 50 college
recruiters including several representatives from
the Great Western Lacrosse League; Ohio State,
Notre Dame, Denver, Air Force and Bellarmine.
The reigning D-2 champ Lemoyne College also staffed
the camp along
with coaches from Brown, Navy, Towson, Ohio Wesleyan
and Denison.
"From
the conversations we've had with the coaches they
really enjoyed that all the games were played
on
one field," said UA Head Coach Ted Wolford
who hosts the camp with brother Bill, the former
head coach at
Worthington Kilbourne High School and the Dublin-based
Max Sports Performance Institute. "We think
that we provide a great bio and information about
each kid."
The
Max Elite camp starts a series of summer camps
for college hopefuls.
