April 17, 2008 - BROTHER RICE WAITS ON SATURDAY

Next up is certainly one of the premier match-ups in high school lacrosse for 2008. The 14th ranked Bears invade 8th ranked and unbeaten Brother Rice (6-0) Saturday then face Detroit Jesuit on Sunday.

"We expect it to be a battle," Wolford said of Brother Rice. "The venue is a hard place to play. Their fans will be there, surround the field and make a lot of noise. They remember us beating them in the Midwest semifinal game last year. We anticipate them being fired up and ready to go and hope we can match their enthusiasm."

Wolford said it's a big weekend because he's taking a young team on the road. "We envisioned from the beginning of the year that both of us would be two of the four teams that might make it into the 'A' bracket....that we would see each other in the regular season and we might have to see each other again in the Midwest tournament. It's one of those things that you look forward to playing teams like Brother Rice and I think we are. This is huge."
